Update for really now!
Hokay.  So I just realized besides yesterday I haven't actually updated since I got rehired into McDonald's in June and that wasn't really a good one.

I'm sure you already all know about Justin hitting a deer and Ethan being hit by an idiot.  Sooo a while ago Ethan was trying to find a place to get his car fixed and the estimate he got up here was $3600.  The guy wanted to do everything perfectly and use after market parts which while they are cheaper than new parts, are much more than used parts.  My dad did some digging and found a guy back home whose estimate was $2200.  MUCH BETTER.  Turns out, it's actually only a 2 grand.  Anyhoo, his car was down getting fixed and was going to take an additional week because the painter got sick when my car started going on the fritz.  Currently, we are both without cars.  That state is made of SUCK.  I'm not getting any good practicing done because I don't want to be stuck here until 10:30 and I cannot stay later unless somebody comes and gets me.

School's been okay.  Conducting class seems like it'll be worthwhile but we have these swiss exercise balls that are supposed to help with alignment and lower back pain.  The thing is I don't have lower back pain; it's all in the top and nothing short a reduction of something is going to solve that problem.  I got my baton though.  I like it!  I always thought they were awkward but now that I have one that's long enough and I know how to hold it, it's cool.  I made 2nd alto in Jazz Central again and I'm working on getting some better jazz chops because I don't want to lose my spot when more people audition next semester.  It's tough.  I just memorized the chord changes for 6 standards in about 3 days.  Not fun.  Perc tech is disappointing.  I had to learn a new grip because the one I used for quads is not appropriate for snare or mallets.  We're doing mallets today and I think I forgot the earplugs I got from Ethan.  The bell sets in beginning percussion kits=death.  Seriously.  I wouldn't think it would cost too much more money to make them IN TUNE.  My Kodaly methods class looked like it was going to be exciting because we were going to bring in kids, but then one girl dropped out of the 5 of us so our prof decided to not bring in kids.  Or at least that's the story.  I'm about 184% certain that it's really because she never got the fliers ready and sent to the schools.  I hate delivering lessons to a classroom of college students.  It's not the same at all.  Quartet's good so far.  Yay quartet!  We haven't rehearsed yet this week because first Ashley got strep and John was sick too.  Then Ashley still had strep.  Then I got sick.  Woot.

Eep.  I guess I need to go bang on some out of tune bells.
